    FIFA 23 – EPL Has The Highest Number Of Good Players This Year. Find Out How The Other Leagues Compare

    We’ve reported on the top 25 players in 5 of the top European leagues in EA’s upcoming FIFA 23 – EPL, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, and Serie A.

    Our finding shows that the EPL has the most number of good players in them but let’s take a more in-depth look at how the other top-flight leagues compare.

    The average OVR is calculated based on the simple formula of – OVR Scores of 25 players summed up then divided by 25 for the average rating.

    We do acknowledge of course, that this finding may be inaccurate as we do not tally OVR scores beyond the Top 25 players but this should still give us a good impression of how the leagues compare when it comes to the quality of their players.

    In case you missed our earlier FIFA 23 reports, check them out here;

    We’ll start with the league with the lowest average score of the 5 leagues.

    #5 France’s Ligue 1 – Top 25 Average OVR score = 83.84

    It’s not shocking, to be honest. Ligue 1 is arguably the least competitive league of the 5 and as the list would go on to show – 12 of their top 25 players come from the same Club – Paris Saint Germain.

    The Club itself is undoubtedly one of the best football clubs in Europe with arguably the most exciting front 3 in their lineup with Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr spearheading the team’s attacks. Furthermore, Mbappe and Messi’s OVR 91 puts them both as the best players in terms of OVR in the whole of FIFA 23, sharing that spot with several other players in the game.

    But unfortunately, the quality of players PSG possess is almost exclusive to the club alone and the same cannot be said about the other teams in the same league. Ligue 1 is also the only league where its top 25 players consist of players with OVR 80 and the lowest one being 79.

    This predicament has landed Ligue 1 in the last spot of the top 5 European leagues in overall player qualities, putting it more than 1 point behind the next closest league, and more than 4 points behind the best one.

    #3 Germany’s Bundesliga – Top 25 Average OVR score = 85.20

    Ahead of Serie A by an almost negligible margin of 0.24 is the German Bundesliga. There is no shortage of talents here, especially Bayern Munich which has 11 of its players named on the list including the table-topping Manuel Neuer, the goalie and captain of the club.

    This league’s top 13 include players from OVR 87 to OVR 85, which is a strong showing. I know I’ll be raiding this league for many of its players in my gameplay including Borrusia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham and getting Sadio Mane back for my Liverpool.

    The league’s bottom half of the table isn’t as impressive with RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner sitting at spot number 25 with an OVR of 82, the next lowest individual OVR among all the top 25 players after Ligue 1’s Jonathan David from Lille with an OVR of 79.

    But nevertheless, thanks to the formidable line-up and OVR scores in the top half, the Bundesliga league in FIFA 23 secured them the 3rd spot on our list.
