Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Independent Arts Software have released a brand-new DLC expansion for fan-favourite tycoon simulation Railway Empire for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Named the Northern Europe expansion, players will aid the Swedish Parliament to construct their own railroad system to increase the countries reach and expand its industrial and economical advancements!
Players will be greeted with new scenarios to play through, new engines to experiment with and an all-new soundtrack list to listen to as you cross countries and embark on an all-new trade adventure!
In addition to the DLC, the Christmas update also comes along and adds new seasonal Christmas decorations, the new “Dallas” challenge and a set of tweaks to the games Challenge Mode. Key features in the new DLC include:
- New scenario: Hibernation (1853-1870)
- Map expansion: ‘Northern Europe’ (available in Free Game and Sandbox modes)
- 3 historical engines: Odin (2-2-2), Prins August (2-4-0) and SJB II (4-6-0)
- 10 new tradeable goods (e.g. crispbread and brown cheese) and 30 new cities
- ‘Concession’ feature: The map is divided into sections. Buy concessions to gain access to new building grounds (also available on the full North American map)
- Snow: Enhanced weather system for all northern regions in the game
- New regional soundtrack
The Northern Europe DLC is now available for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
