    Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 – Beta Update

    Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is trying something new which has made some fans nervous. To ease up the anxiety, Activision and Treyarch has announced beta for Playstation, Xbox and PC this August.

    • PlayStation 4 (Starts: August 3 at 10am/PT – Ends: August 6 at 10am/PT)
    • PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (Starts: August 10 at 10am/PT – Ends: August 13 at 10am/PT)
    • PC Beta Early Access (Starts: August 10 at 10am/PT) *PC exclusively on Battle.Net
    • PC Open Beta (Starts: August 11 at 10am/PT – Ends: August 13 at 10am/PT

    Playstation will get to play the beta a week before Xbox and PC early access (Pre-purchase for 24 hour early access to the open beta). Open beta for PC will start a day after that. Six maps will be available in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta (Frequency, Contraband, Payload, Seaside, Hacienda, and Gridlock). Modes available in the beta will be Team Death Match, Domination, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and the new mode called Control.

     

    In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta, Pick 10 system makes a comeback and some new additions. Specialists now have special equipment specific to their character beyond their normal power move, you can select an optional piece of ‘Gear’ which grants you bonuses like cheaper scorestreaks, the ability to heal faster, and more. And you’ll have access to new weapon-specific attachments and “a new class of powerful attachments” called Operator Mods. Load out with Special Issue Equipment that’s designed exclusively for each Specialist without costing a point against Pick 10. Treyarch has only announced two playable Specialists for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta, Nomad and Prophet.

    Players who play in the Private Beta in Black Ops 4 will receive a unique calling card in BO4 at launch. In addition, if you reach max rank in the beta, you will get a Permanent Unlock Token to use in Black Ops 4 MP at launch.

    In September, fans will get to experience the new Battle Royale mode built for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 known as Blackout. There is not much details available for Battle Royale mode yet, but Treyarch has promised they’ll share more info about it as we get closer to September.

    Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will release on October 12th, 2018 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Players can pre-order now for access to the beta
