SOFTSTAR has announced that its upcoming Chinese ARPG by DOMO studio and SOFTSTAR Entertainment, Xuan-Yuan Sword VII will launch on 29 October 2020. Here is the launch announcement trailer with the game details.
A World of Incredible Creatures and Oriental Clockworks
Xuan-Yuan Sword VII takes place in the ancient Chinese realm 2000 years ago. Taishi Zhao lives in a small village with his baby sister Xiang, who is also the only one left in the family other than him. One day, some strangers come to this peaceful mountain village and give him a quest that looks very easy. However, the siblings’ destiny is forever changed from then on. They must fight off fearsome monsters and triumph over powerful foes if they are to get their life back. And the truth about the murder of their parents all those years ago is finally revealed.
The third trailer shows more about Clockworks including puzzles in the map and the thrilling combat with a fantastic Automata.
Shimomura is Invited to Compose the Third Trailer
Yoko Shimomura is a Japanese composer and pianist, primarily in the industry of video game music, who is titled “The Godmother of video games”. This time, Shimomura is invited to compose the trailer for “Xuan-Yuan Sword VII”. The composition married the western orchestration and the use of traditional-oriented instruments is undoubted the highlight of the game. It is believed that there would be a large number of new players starting to fall in love with Shimomura’s music after the release of the game.
The producer of this “Xuan-Yuan Sword VII” trailer is Mr Ivan Linn, who is also the CEO of Goldstones Studios. He used to tour with Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda––Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses as the pianist. Having been recorded for the soundtrack of Final Fantasy XV, he started his long-term friendly relationship with Yoko Shimomura.
Goldstones Studios focuses on music production and live concert performance. The company has involved the production including the TV series “Ice Fantasy”, produced by Hunan TV, Movie “The Tenants Downstairs”, Studio Album “Flow” of singer Winnie Hsin, and so on. In 2019, Linn is appointed Music Director of “Assassin’s Creed: Symphony World Tour”, a live music experience featuring an 80-piece orchestra, choir, and rock band.
Xuan-Yuan Sword VII will launch on 29 October 2020. It will be available on Steam (Worldwide) and PlayStation 4 (Asia, except Japan).
PlayStation 4 Japanese Edition will be released on 10 December 2020 (Including full translation and voiceover). A Japanese voiceover will also be available to update for Asian Edition on that day. The game has yet to have a release date for the PlayStation 4 release on other regions as it is still a work in progress.
