Angolmois: Record of Mongol Invasion was first announced at the Anime Expo 2017 last year. Premiering in this coming July 11th, the series is about the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the year 1274 A.D at the island of Tsushima. (Does it ring any bell? Ghost of Tsushima anyone?). But no, this anime is not related to the highly anticipated upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive game “Ghost of Tsushima”.
However, this Anime should provide some insight on certain historical aspect that took place during the Mongol invasion and serve as an appetizer to eager fans while waiting for Ghost of Tsushima’s release. At this moment there is no release date announced yet for the game.
