    Games to look forward to in August 2021

    August month is upon us and multiple games that looks either interesting, hyped or simply breathtaking is coming our way as well. Note that these games are from multiple genres such as Action, Adventure, RPGs, Shooters, Roguelike and Multiplayer.

    Baldo: The Guardian Owls

    A surprising drop release date on August 27th – much awaited Zelda-like Action RPG by developer Naps Team. A beautiful looking game with lots of rolling and slashing foes while navigating through all manner of danger, puzzles and obstacles. Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Apple Arcade.

    SkateBIRD

    Be cute, flutter your wings and grind with style as a bird this coming August 12th as announced by developer Glass Bottom Games on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility, and PC.

    No More Heroes 3

    The third installment by of No More Heroes by Grasshopper Manufacture joins Travis once again slashing his way in style this August 27th, 2021 on Nintendo Switch. Filled with action packed slash-‘em-up action, including minigames of shooting, ranked battles, horror, RPG, and more. As you use the Joy-Con’s intuitive controls to wield Travis Touchdown’s trusty Beam Katana along with a slew of pro wrestling techniques!

    Psychonauts 2

    This long awaited sequel of wacky action platformer by publisher Microsoft and developer Double Fine Productions is making its way telekinetically for August 25th, 2021 release on Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Join Raz again to train his mind and unravel a tangle of plots could very well purge the world into chaos. The game promises to be an action platformer with cinematic style and tons of customizable psychic powers.

    Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut

    Coming this August 20th with add on content to already perfect game, with new chapter Iki Island, plus PS5-specific enhancements like DualSense haptic feedback, Japanese lip sync, and more as announced by Sucker Punch.

    Additional updates

    There will be a downloadable patch for both PS4 and PS5 that addresses other things in the game. There will be new accessibility options for alternate controller layouts and the option to enable target lock-on during combat.

    Hades

    Supergiant Games’s awesome roguelike game Hades is making its way into PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One consoles on August 13th, 2021. A rogue-like dungeon crawler in which players battle their way through the treacherous Underworld of Greek myth to freedom.

    The retail edition of Hades is perfect for collectors, as it contains bonus goods like a code that is redeemable for a digital download of the Hades Original Soundtrack. This soundtrack includes two and half hours of music by award-winning composer Darren Korb and featuring vocals by Ashley Barrett. Additionally, physical copies include a compendium booklet featuring the vivid artwork of the multiple denizens of Hades inked by Supergiant Games’ BAFTA Award-winning Art Director, Jen Zee. Finally, the first-run prints of physical PlayStation and Xbox copies will include an eye-catching metallic foil detailing across the cover art perfect for individuals looking to add a standout piece to their shelf.

    Playing Hades on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S results in a technical boost, with the action running at 4K at a target 60fps. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game perform at 1080p at a target 60fps. In addition, Hades features enhanced controller vibration and controller lighting on the PlayStation 5 DualSense™ wireless controller.     Grime

    Developer Clover Bite and publisher Akupara Games will be bringing souls like Metroidvania game GRIME on August 2nd on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store, as well as Stadia. The game is an action-RPG that has you use living, mutating weapons to dispatch an array of strange beasts.

    Aliens: Fireteam Elite

    Cold Iron Studios’s cooperative third-person survival shooter within the Alien universe, will release on August 24th, 2021, for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam.

     

    In Aliens: Fireteam Elite,players will fight through four unique campaigns as a fully customizable Colonial Marine against waves of terrifying Xenomorph and Weyland-Yutani Synthetic foes, choosing from an extensive variety of classes, weapons, gear and perks.
