Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Make A Console Comeback With “Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants”

In an exciting development for fans of classic arcade games and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) franchise, an expanded version of the 2017 arcade hit is slated for release on various gaming platforms. Dubbed “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants,” this new edition promises to bring the arcade experience to home consoles and PCs, complete with additional stages and bosses.

Scheduled for release on April 23, 2024, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This marks the first time the title, originally developed by Raw Thrills, will venture beyond arcade cabinets, offering fans the chance to enjoy the game in the comfort of their own homes.

“Wrath of the Mutants” draws inspiration from the 2012 Nickelodeon series and is reminiscent of the beloved “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time.” Players can embark on an adventure across various iconic locations, including Coney Island and Dimension X, to battle the infamous Foot Clan and their leader, Shredder.

The game features an expanded roster of six stages and 13 boss battles, introducing three new stages and six additional bosses not present in the original arcade version. Players can choose from the four iconic turtles – Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo – each voiced by actors from the 2012 series. The game also incorporates new abilities for the characters, such as dash, ground pound, and sprinting, enhancing the gameplay experience.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants” supports local co-op play for up to four players, allowing fans to team up and navigate the challenges of the game together. Priced at £24.99, the game aims to deliver a nostalgic yet fresh experience for both long-time fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.

Scheduled for release on April 23, 2024, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
