On the final day of the 2022 PMPL SEA Championship Spring, PUBG MOBILE, a popular mobile game in Southeast Asia, teased an exciting upcoming collaboration with the Malaysian blockbuster film franchise KL Gangster. This marks PUBG MOBILE’s first local film collaboration in the country.
A 30-second teaser video was released, with veteran actors Syamsul Yusof and Dato’ Aaron Aziz reuniting to reprise their roles as Shark and Malek. The teaser video was filmed at Petaling Street, the iconic battleground from the KL Gangster film.
From the teaser video, fans of both PUBG MOBILE and KL Gangster can anticipate that something extraordinary will be launched in-game in July 2022 and can stay tuned for the full live-action trailer soon.
The partnership between PUBG MOBILE and KL Gangster is the first of many other upcoming local collaborations which will be unveiled later in the year. Notably, this is also the third time the swoon-worthy heartthrob Dato’ Aaron Aziz is featured on PUBG MOBILE since the Infection Mode and PUBG MOBILE x Arcane, the Netflix series collaborations.
