A new trailer for Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is to share with you by developer Mimimi Games, the creators of Shadow Tactics and Desperados III. Take a peek behind the development of the new Stealth Strategy game in the Developer Insight Trailer.
In the trailer, their Creative Director, Dominik Abé, is joined by the Head of Design, Moritz Wagner, to explain the thought process behind the development and the vision of Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew.
On top of that, the trailer reveals a new playable character of the cursed crew: Toya of Iga, an undead ninja pirate and ship cook of the cursed crew, who is able to teleport and kill enemies over great distances.
Meet Toya, The Assassin Cook
Next to the definition of “cool” you would probably find an undead ninja pirate assassin cook in any lexicon of your choice.
Welcome, Toya of Iga to the cursed pirate crew of the Red Marley! He is the cook of the ship and usually prepares tasty, soul-infused meals for the crew.
But his amazing skills allow him to be a menace in combat, too. He can place a marker anywhere on the ground and use it to teleport back to that location at any given time immediately. This allows him to get out of dangerous situations really quickly but also for some advanced maneuvers and stylish kills: If an enemy stands on the marker when Toya is teleporting, the enemy will be attacked.
Moreover, Toya carries a whistle to lure enemies to his current location. When players use both their skills in combination, they can create lethal traps for enemies by luring them to the marker.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is a new Stealth Strategy game.
This time, the team is not only self-publishing but also pushing the Stealth Strategy genre to the next level by introducing magic and supernatural elements, a more open game structure as well as other exciting new features.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is set in the Lost Caribbean during an alternate history of the Golden Age of Piracy. Join the Red Marley, a ghost ship with a living soul, and assemble a cursed pirate crew. Embrace supernatural powers to defy the menacing army of the Inquisition, which stands between you and the mysterious treasure of the legendary Captain Mordechai.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is coming in 2023. It will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
