Gauntlet – new game mode launches for Legends of Runeterra

Riot Games has brought a new update to Legends of Runeterra, featuring a new game mode called Gauntlet, a limited-time competitive mode with unique deckbuilding rules. The Gauntlet opens every Friday, and plays through the weekend until Monday, with each week featuring a specific format in which players will need to conform with.

The next Gauntlet rotation begins on 3rd July called Singleton, and challenge players to build a deck using no more than one copy of each card.

In addition to XP based on a players number of wins, everyone who takes on a particular Gauntlet format will receive a special icon, while those who make it to seven wins will earn the exclusive Gauntlet Conqueror icon. There are also plans to add more exclusive rewards and improve the Gauntlet mode overall, using the technology to build our way to full-scale in-game tournaments.
