    CATAN, the Masterpiece of Strategy Gaming is now available on Nintendo Switch.

    Asmodee Digital, a leader in digital board game entertainment, is proud to announce the release of CATAN, the most influential modern board game created by Klaus Teuber, on Nintendo Switch The game has been developed in cooperation with United Soft Media (USM), publisher of multiple digital CATAN games.

    CATAN takes full advantage of the Nintendo Switch for providing players with a full CATAN experience. As the cornerstone of board game design, CATAN is easy to learn and offers a lot of strategic depth. Every decision counts as players are challenged to settle the island of CATAN, by building the greatest network of settlements and cities on the island

    CATAN, the Masterpiece of Strategy Gaming

    Catan Island is an uninhabited land rich with natural resources, as must complete area for those settlers. To gain supremacy over Catan, players must build settlements, roads and cities at the strategic locations. They must also use careful diplomacy, resource trading with others for compensating for scarcity or allocation differences.

    For added variety and challenges, CATAN players can experience a unique campaign mode with numerous scenarios, each with a unique scenario and three levels of difficulty. As shown in the trailer, they can enjoy the classic CATAN style with the modern way and choose from various board pieces, profiles and table designs, with the added comfort of a digital user interface.

    An online mode* that includes leaderboards, allows Nintendo Switch Online players all over the world to compete in order to become the greatest settler of CATAN. Players can join the competition while enjoying the game in TV mode or on-the-go with the hand-held mode.

    Content and Expansions

    The Seafarers Expansion is included in the base game, allowing players to set sail to explore the magnificent islands of CATAN. Uncharted lands await the most intrepid settlers while new gameplay elements, such as building ships and the addition of pirates, offer new opportunities to explore.

    The Cities & Knights Expansion, aimed at advanced players, is available now as a separate purchase, bringing the golden age of trade and prosperity to CATAN. The wealth of the region has attracted barbarians, and the knights of CATAN will be needed to repel the invader. Players must unite and defend the island of CATAN against a common enemy, while simultaneously competing for the control of cities and metropolises.

    CATAN, featuring the full main game and the Seafarer Expansion is available now on Nintendo eShop for USD 19.99 (approx MYR 83). The Cities & Knights Expansion is sold separately for USD 5.99 (approx 25).
