TEKKEN 8 Reveals Roadmap At Evo Japan, Unveiling Lidia Sobieski As Next DLC And An Upcoming New Story Chapter

TEKKEN 8 revealed its upcoming roadmap at EVO Japan, announcing a new chapter to the game’s Story Mode in the works for future release, and the second DLC character, Lidia Sobieski, joining the roster this summer. On the side note currently, Tekken 8 is on sale on Steam PC for 30% off.

Developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, TEKKEN 8 harnesses Unreal Engine 5 to bring new weight and atmosphere to the game’s battles, with every character remodeled in stunning detail and new dynamic and destructible environments added to the game. TEKKEN 8 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Additional details for the roadmap for the game have also been revealed. Starting this spring, adjustments to the battle system will be made as the development team continues to work on improving balance and player experience.

Players will receive a big free update this summer, including the “Seaside Resort” summer-themed stage as well as Photo Mode. In autumn, as another free update, a brand-new story will be added featuring Eddy Gordo. Also announced were additional modes Ghost vs. Ghost and Online Practice, which will be added at a later date.

Hot on the heels of EVO Japan, the TEKKEN WORLD TOUR continues with players across the globe competing to earn points and earn their place at the TEKKEN WORLD TOUR Finals to vie for the title King of Iron Fist.
