Softstar Entertainment has released a free demo on Steam for its soon-to-be-released game Xuan-Yuan Sword VII.
The demo will start you at the beginning of the game where you be playing as Taishi Zhao. Both he and his sister Xiang are orphans in a small mountain village. However, that little peace does not last long as an army and a murky figure decided to show up.
In the demo, you will be playing as Zhao who is a pretty capable swordsman himself, to fight off hordes of monsters and demons as well as enemy soldiers.
Another highlight of the demo is also the RTX ray tracing option. With the option turned on, the graphical differences are very apparent. From the natural lighting which can be reflected on the puddle of water on the ground to proper lighting behaviour on the environment to make them look more vibrant and yet realistic.
Xuan-Yuan Sword VII is due out on PC and Playstation 4 sometime late October. There is also news of releasing it on the Xbox One but that is yet to be confirmed. There will also be a physical edition for those who are wondering which will be available on 10th December.
Also, do check up on the system requirements to see if your rig is good enough to run the game. Although from what it is shown, the game doesn’t seem to be too intensive.
