We got a good tip starting out Navigators in Alchemy Stars

It has been almost more than 2 weeks since the launch of Alchemy Stars and it has already garnered more than 2 million global downloads and 5 million registrations.

The overwhelming response has allowed the team behind the game to even extend languages to Bahasa and Thai. The new translation language will be available soon for fans of the respective language.

In brief, Alchemy Stars is a Role-Playing Gacha game that employs a more strategic approach. There are a plethora of different characters to collect and to play around with. Each of these characters comes with its own set of specialties and elements.

As of now, the game has 5 specialties, Detonator, Sniper, Converter, and Support. Each of them has a skill that corresponds to their specialty. However, no one character is the same as each effect are each of their skills will come out differently.

Detonators specialize in dealing with large AOE attacks and they are especially great when it comes to stages that have swarms of enemies.

Snipers, as their name implies are long-range single target damage dealers.

Converters, on the other hand, their a role is to convert coloured tiles to their respective element. This would allow you to extend your combos.

Lastly, Supports are a supplement to the team. Some can heal, provide shields, buffing the team or debuffing the enemy, and also extending the length of a combo.

I’ve been playing the game for a week and while at first, it was rather tempting to build a team consisting of different elements. I have come to the conclusion that a mono-coloured team (team of the same element/colour) would still be preferable. Dealing damage as a mono team is better than dealing as a duo team (the leader and the corresponding member).

The sustainability and the damage output when attacking together is far better in the result. While it is still required to trigger the right coloured tiles which can be tricky at times, hence this is where character specialty comes in.

    Simple Starters

For starters, a general build-up would consist of 1 main damage dealer (DPS), 1 Support, and 1 Converter. These 3 will be vital on most stages in the game. It is recommended to place your main damage dealer as the Captain as it is the only position that can trigger their own specialty attacks regardless of tile colour. If possible, your Captain should have a specialty attack that an AOE range attack. That way you will still be able to chip away the health of other enemy units in one turn.

The role of Supports especially the ones that heal is to keep the team alive as long as possible. There are stages call Secret Territories which healers are vital in the team composition. Converters on the other hand as mentioned converts tiles to their corresponding colour. The more the same coloured tile you have, the longer you can keep the chain.

Furthermore, you will able to trigger a special mechanic call Aurora Time when you are able to trigger 15 tiles or more. In this mode, you will be able to play for an extra turn without consuming around. Aurora Time gives space for opportunities to extend your attacks or to make spaces for healing etc.

The 4th and 5th members can be one that has a teleporting skill which allows you to move to a different tile. This will be handy especially in sticky situations or if you see a tile position that can help you greatly. Having another Converter is good as to expand your colour tile territory will certainly come in handy. Another option is also to have another Sniper or a Detonator to add in the extra DPS in around.

Nonetheless, it is important for each character’s skills and if they are able to complement other characters. That way, not only you are inflicting a huge amount of damage but you may able to end rounds faster than you can imagine.

    Thunder Tip

If you just started out in the game, there will be a Growth Quest which you can complete and the reward is the 5-Star Dayna and an amount of Star Flares.

Dayna is a Detonator and her specialty attack has a high damage output and range. When positioned nicely, she can inflict major damage on enemies from afar and on a large scale. She is a great addition when you are first starting out so be sure to complete those quests to obtain her.

Alchemy Stars is out now on the Play Store and App Store.
