The 9th Annual Indie of the Year Awards has officially kicked off!
A voting booth has been added to all indie profiles on IndieDB, and for the next four weeks, player votes will determine the top 100 (announced December 11) and the overall winner announced shortly after Christmas.
Last year the community voted 61,008 times, which ultimately resulted in the war-ravaged Foxhole claiming the players choice after exploding in popularity. Followed closely behind was the run and gun smash hit Cuphead, with the realistic war-shooter Day of Infamy taking out 3rd place. They are joined by previous winners including Minecraft and Chivalry.
From now until the close of 2018, join in the fun and help celebrate the sensational work indie developers do for the gaming community, in pursuit of creating something remarkable for us gamers to enjoy.
And oh, did we tell you that voters also stand a chance to win free game keys? For more information on the event including a live scoreboard and how to vote head over to the official awards page.
