Upcoming Games To Look Forward To This April 2024

What a fulfilling year, as last month’s lineup, featuring titles such as Last Epoch, Unicorn Overlord, and Helldiver 2 – kept me up late at night, engrossed, leaving lil to no room for other games to shine and be given the chance to the tried out. Yet, this month’s offering, though a few in numbers, promises a great deal in quality across multiple genres, catering to ARPG, JRPG, and casual game fans alike.

Here are some of the highlights of what’s to come and why we are excited about it. If we missed any hidden gems, don’t be shy and drop by the comments or tag us to share the excitement. It’s time to elevate our gaming experience this April 2024.

    As shared on PlayStation

Featuring deep-sea exploration and fishing during the day and sushi restaurant management at night. Join Dave and his quirky friends as they seek to uncover the secrets of the mysterious Blue Hole.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes | April 23rd

This is a must-buy JRPG to me as my internal Suikoden feelings are screaming in excitement to play this. Join the army and collect over a hundred allies on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, EPIC Games, GOG, and Steam.

    STELLAR BLADE | April 26th, 2024

No apologies are needed to enjoy the games that you want. In this case, after my short demo session with Stellar Blade – it is really fun with multiple in-between design influences of Gantz/Xenosaga, less punishing and more rewarding combat of Sekiro/Lies Of P/Devil May Cry, and musical scores/ environment details akin to Nier Automata/Metal Gear Solid 4.

This is solid in both gameplay as well as designs and should be worth checking out once it’s out on the PlayStation 5.

No Rest for the Wicked | Apr 18th, 2024 (Early Access)

Although this is early access, I can’t wait to try this out as it looks to be a new type of ARPG that promises to reinvent the genre with visceral combat.

    Details as shared on Steam:

Hone combat skills with a system that challenges you to be deliberate and strategic. Battle against gruesome creatures, enemy soldiers, and punishing bosses in tense, visceral combat. Feel the weight and speed of each weapon through their own move sets. Enchant armaments with runes, craft rare armor, and create bespoke character builds that fit your playstyle.
