Tales of Kenzera: ZAU – Free Demo & Game Discount Coming Soon

EA Originals and Surgent Studios announced in a blog post that an all-new bespoke free demo for the epic action-adventure platformer, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, is available now for PC via Steam, which includes all the quality-of-life improvements and fixes that have been added to the game since launch.

Also, a brand-new trial for the title is set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on June 13th.

The demo/trial gives players a peek into the early moments of the game, offering a taste of its fleet-footed and fast-paced combat and traversal, and a first look at the emotional story as it begins to unfold. Defeat marauding enemies like the Roho ya Rungu and Roho ya Mtupaji, and beware of the cunning, explosive Tokoloshe.

Eagle-eyed players will also discover hidden Echoes in the demo/trial, which will lend a crucial hint to the full game’s narrative framing.

Additionally, players who purchase the full game will be able to continue the game and carry their progress over from the demo/trial. And players can experience Zau’s emotional journey in Tales of Kenzera: ZAU for 25% off on the following dates:

    • Epic Store: Until June 18th, 2024
    • Xbox Series X|S: Until June 18th, 2024
    • PlayStation 5: Until June 19th, 2024
    • Steam & EA App: June 13th – July 11th, 2024

Surgent Studios founder and BAFTA-nominated actor, Abubakar Salim, also recently shared a heartfelt message advocating for more diversity in video games and discussing video games as a medium for the expression and exploration of different cultures and stories. Tales of Kenzera: ZAU is now available on Nintendo Switch for less than $15.00 (starting June 10 in Europe) until the end of June, with more discounts to come across platforms.

In case you missed it, the first Tales of Kenzera: ZAU patch update, Patch 1.1, also went live recently and includes gameplay improvements, bug fixes, combat balancing and more. View the Patch 1.1 notes HERE.
