A brand new PC demo for System Shock – the fully-fledged remake of the groundbreaking original from 1994 – has gone live as part of Steam Next Fest which runs from February 6th – February 13th.
Combining cult gameplay with all-new HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface, and all-new sounds & music (it even has the original voice actor of SHODAN) the demo will allow players to experience the whole of the opening level – with no restrictions – as you face SHODAN and her terrifying minions.
Players will need to use a combination of stealth, cunning, and futuristic weaponry to make their way through Citadel Station’s all-new areas, traps, puzzles, and secrets to reach SHODAN. Facing them is an army of hostile and mutated creatures – created and controlled by SHODAN herself – players will need to either fight or avoid to survive.
System Shock is available to pre-order for PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Game Store. The title will also be released on PlayStation 4|5 and Xbox One and Series X|S.
