The IeSF Esports World Championship 2020 has returned this year for its twelfth edition. Organized by the International eSports Federation (IeSF), the final round is expected to take place in Eilat, Israel February 2021. The tournament will involve many countries from around the world with three competitive games: eFootball PES, Tekken 7, and DOTA 2.
As a member of IeSF, Vietnam Recreational eSport Association (VIRESA) cooperated with Box Sports Joint Stock Company to successfully organize the qualifiers of the E-Sports World Championship 2020 – IeSF Esports World Championship 2020 from September 1, 2020 to September 23, 2020.
The following representatives of Vietnam will participate in the Southeast Asia Regional Qualifiers:
The regional qualifiers started on October 20, 2020 and will end on November 22, 2020. Vietnamese representatives will compete in the 2021 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), which includes six countries: Brunei, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

In the Vietnam qualifier, besides prizes with a total value of 55 million VND, athletes will also receive gifts from event sponsor Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers.

Participation in the IeSF Esports World Championship 2020 is an opportunity to show professionalism meeting international standards and a step in affirming the position of Vietnamese esports in the regional arena, as well as a prerequisite to placing esports on the list of sports at SEA Games, which will take place at the end of 2021 in Vietnam.
