PlayStation has announced on their official twitter account that one of its flagship games for this year, The Last of Us 2, and the highly anticipated Marvel’s Iron Man VR, will both be delayed until further notice.
“The global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve” according to PlayStation’s tweet.
Though some players have speculated that the real reason behind the delay for ‘The Last of Us 2’ was due to the fact that the company was unwilling to be seen as being insensitive to the victims and families of people affected by the Covid-19 outbreak (owing to the fact that the game’s background is about a devasted world due to a massive virus outbreak that has turned people into aggressive mindless zombie-like creatures.)
Update: SIE has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel’s Iron Man VR until further notice. Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.
