Shawn Layden, Head Of PlayStation’s Game Studios steps down

A surprising news dropped by Sony as they bid their farewell and wished the best for any future endeavors to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden:
It is with great emotion that we announce that Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden will be departing SIE. His visionary leadership will be greatly missed. We wish him success in future endeavors and are deeply grateful for his years of service. Thanks for everything, Shawn!

Shawn Layden has been with Sony over 3 decades started back in 1987 as public relations. Working alongside Akio Morita (Sony founder) as assistant. Then moving up the ranks from executive, producer all the way to the president of PlayStation in the United States. He has previously been making frequent appearance in public based events such as Game Awards, E3 and even ramping up to the launch of PlayStation 5. His recent accomplishment includes acquiring Insomniac Games (Marvel’s Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank) developer studio back in August 2019.

There is currently no new information relating to Sony’s replacement candidate at the moment, but we here at BunnyGaming wishes Shawn all the best and thank you for the amazing work he has been doing for Sony and PlayStation over the years.

He is actually very shy, introvert but no choice, have to go out to buy games. He likes food and food likes him. He somehow manage to find a job with the right time accommodate to gaming. He has a very short attention span, therefore has to finish a game fast or else a simple pun can distract him for the entire day. Yes a Pun, he loves puns as much as he loves games; easily distracted, whichever comes next.
