Omeda Studios recently announced the upcoming PlayStation Closed Beta for “Predecessor,” a third-person action MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), scheduled to begin on December 5, 2023. This game, which has its roots in “Paragon” originally developed by Epic Games, has already enjoyed some following in its Early Access phase on PC.
Predecessor is a team-based game where two teams of five players each compete on a traditional MOBA map with three lanes and an interactive jungle.
Each player controls a unique hero, each with distinct abilities and styles. The gameplay involves completing objectives, battling enemy heroes, and gathering gold to purchase items that enhance hero abilities, such as teleportation, invisibility, and time manipulation.
The PlayStation Closed Beta will feature over 30 different heroes and offer cross-platform play with PC gamers. This integration aims to reduce match-making times. The Beta is available to players in North America and the EU on both PS4 and PS5 platforms.
To participate in the PlayStation Closed Beta, players need to register online. All progress and achievements during the Beta will be retained for the game’s future release.
