Monster Hunter Movie: The first picture that looks the part

Currently filming in South Africa, the live action Monster Hunter movie directed by Paul W.S Anderson received strong backlash due to the incredibly terrible decision to reveal the first image from the movie being generic soldier characters. To try and appease fans, Milla Jovovich (the director’s wife who also starred in the other terrible series of movies directed by her husband, Resident Evil) showed off on Instagram the Slinger equipment. The latest photo revealed picture shows Jovovich and Tony Jaa (from the excellent Protector) running away from quite possibly a terribly CGI Diablos (because it’s in the desert), in a full hunter costume.

As seen in the photo, Tony Jaa plays as an unknown hunter wielding a Great Sword aka Giant Jawblade which is similar to the Field Team Leader from the game Monster Hunter World.

    See the resemblance?

That’s not all, the main character has a DPS weapon too

Milla Jovovich plays as Natalie Artemis, also an original character not in the game using Dual Blades (because how else will he film the headache-inducing fast cut action scenes), confirmed by director Anderson which is actually pretty cool for cinematic fast DPS, together with maybe odogaron armor. While Screen Gems has released an official plot to the movie stating as “Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, revolting attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back.”

Meaning at some point in the movie, Natalie Artemis will be transported into the unknown Monster Hunter World while serving the army in our current world.
Would this is a be a good sign of a positive adaptation? (I really doubt it). We shall see more updates, so it would be best to keep praying this is the Monster Hunter movie we have all been waiting for.
