Yoodo is The ‘King of The Hill’ For Gamers

Yoodo, Malaysia’s first fully customisable and 100% digital mobile service is fast cementing its position as the telco for gamers. Riding off a successful 2018 partnership, Yoodo is once again the Official Digital Telco for the Player’s Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) MOBILE National Championship (PMNC) 2019.

Organised by gaming Giant, Tencent Games, the tournament has seen 384 teams or over 1,500 individuals participating at six qualifiers across Malaysia. Now at its climax, 16 teams have reached the exciting finals to battle it out for a shot at a prize pool of RM114,000.

Mobile gaming is no longer niche and is going mainstream fast. It is forecasted to grow at a rate of 25% yearly according to a report by Newzoo. In recognition of this, Yoodo has been quick to solidify its position within the sector.

To reinforce its unwavering commitment to gamers, Yoodo is extending the free promo period for its PUBG MOBILE data add-on that gives users 20GB of dedicated data for the popular game and is now free until the end of December 2019.

This means gamers can continue playing PUBG MOBILE at ease on Malaysia’s widest 4G LTE network without worrying about data charges. Mobile gamers look for telcos with fast, reliable and competitively priced broadband. We want gamers to know that we speak their language and to look for us as part of their dream team when it comes to mobile gaming. We’re ready to take their gaming experience to the next level.”

To conclude the season, Yoodo signed on the champions becoming the first telco to unveil their own e-sports team Yoodo Gank. They have just added their newest member, Raymond Tan Boon Sheng aka iSHOTz.

“Our goal as a company is to empower Malaysians to showcase their talents in not only e-sports but also in active sports, entertainment and tech areas. Sponsoring PMNC last year was a truly rewarding experience, to be able to shine a greater spotlight on Malaysia’s growing e-sports talent. This is why we were quick to step up to the opportunity of sponsoring PMNC again this year.”
