Teamfight Tactics Welcomes Lunar Festival To Welcome The Year Of The Dragon

Teamfight Tactics is set to welcome the Year of the Dragon with a festive Lunar Festival, featuring new holiday-themed cosmetics and the much-anticipated return of a beloved game set. Set 3.5, titled “Galaxies: Return to the Stars,” will be re-introduced as a special game mode, complete with a brand-new event pass to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Christina Jiang, the Product Manager for Set 3.5 Revival: Galaxies, highlighted the significance of this set revival, noting that “Return to the Stars” was a fan favorite and remained largely unchanged by recent advancements in Teamfight Tactics (TFT). This made it an ideal choice for the game’s first set revival, coinciding with the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Originally released in June 2020, Set 3.5, Galaxies: Return to the Stars, featured unique elements like Space Pirates, transforming Mecha, and the initial version of TFT’s now-iconic Portals – referred to as Galaxies in that set. The 2023 revival of this set includes new event pass content and vault items inspired by the Year of the Dragon, while also incorporating celestial elements from its original version.

In addition to the set revival, players can look forward to unlocking a range of Year of the Dragon cosmetics. These new additions skillfully combine traditional aesthetics with modern designs, offering a fresh yet slightly whimsical take on the theme. Notable items in this collection include Chibi Prestige Dragon Fist Lee Sin, Chibi Porcelain Lux, Chibi Guqin Sona, and the visually stunning Golden Dragon Skyscraper arena.

The Teamfight Tactics Lunar Festival update is scheduled to launch on January 24 for both PC and mobile/tablet platforms. True to the game’s philosophy, both the base game and its updates will remain completely free to play, ensuring accessibility to all players looking to join in the festive season’s celebrations.
