Opening a path to smartphone’s, Square Enix has announced a F2P (free to play) RPG. It is set to be a prequel in the world of Orsterra a few years before the main events in Octopath Traveler (Switch).

- 8 playable characters party in a command based battles with swipe controls
- 3 choices for the story between 3 champions

The game will be out for 2019, Japan on iOS and Android.
