Saber Interactive has announced the launch of the pre-order phase for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered. The HD remaster features the original cast of the Columbia Pictures movie classics and will be released on October 4th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Windows PC.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered tells a unique story by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis that captures the fan-favourite combination of supernatural comedy and horror. The HD reissue appears just in time for the 35th birthday of the first Ghostbusters film. As a newcomer to the team, players support their favourite characters from the films, the reuniting Aykroyd, Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson as Stantz, Spengler, Venkman and Zeddemore. Also to be heard are Annie Potts, Brian Doyle-Murray, William Atherton and Max von Sydow.
Manhattan is once again overrun by ghosts, demons, and other paranormal creatures unleashed upon the city by a mysterious force. Only the Ghostbusters can send the evil back into the dimension from which it crawled to save the Big Apple. Hunt and catch a variety of new and infamous ghouls and other frightening creatures, all polished in new HD resolution.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered lets players experiment with cool gear and expandable weapons as they perform gripping boss fights and ghost hunting in largely destructible environments. Targets are scanned and analyzed using the PKE meter and Ecto glasses. Subsequently, the photon emitter is used, with which the ghosts are held and transported to the exile container. But do not cross the rays!
At the start of the pre-order phase, Saber Interactive has just released a suitable pre-order trailer, in which no one less than Dan Aykroyd, who wrote the screenplay for the original Ghostbusters film and the role of the initially poorly successful parapsychologist Dr Raymond “Ray” Stantz has shown, sends a greeting to the players.
