The online event will feature the best of “DRAGON BALL,” including the original manga, animation, movies, games, figures, toys and more, on Saturday, February 19, 2022 (JST) and Sunday, February 20, 2022 (JST) for “DRAGON BALL” fans worldwide to enjoy.
Today will mark the full reveal of “DRAGON BALL Games Battle Hour 2022”, where “DRAGON BALL” fans worldwide will come together for two days with excitement.

“DRAGON BALL Games Battle Hour” is an online event that began in March 2021 to deliver a special experience like none other to “DRAGON BALL” fans around the world. “DRAGON BALL” fans from twenty-three countries and regions gathered online for the event, which ended with fervor and excitement beyond expectations.
This second event will feature a greater catalog of popular content than before. In addition, the previously well-received “Online Arena”, where users can create their own avatars, cheer and interact with others online, will provide a new participatory experience linked to viewing – made possible with the latest technology. We’re looking forward to bringing even more excitement to the fans of “DRAGON BALL”!

Bringing excitement to the event with pulse-pounding battles between powerhouse players and game producers
The event will feature heated battles leveraging the characteristic of each game title on the home console “DRAGON BALL FighterZ” video game, the “DRAGON BALL SUPER CARD GAME” trading card game, the “DRAGON BALL LEGENDS” smartphone game app, and the digital kids’ card game, “SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES”.
In response to the overwhelming feedback from fans, there will be a team tournament for “DRAGON BALL FighterZ” where powerhouse players from Japan, North America, and the EU region will come together in a cross-regional battle for the “Team & Draft Tournament”.
The event will also feature a live broadcast, special “DRAGON BALL LEGENDS” battle between the game’s producer and the fans at the “Online Arena” area.
World-class players will be fighting with all their might for glory, while the game producer will be fighting in heated battles, so don’t miss out!
“DRAGON BALL” series content filled to the brim!
Producers will be introducing and highlighting features and key points to the latest home console video game, “DRAGON BALL: THE BREAKERS” set to release this year. There will also be a special showing of “DOKKAN DATA ’22” where it will look back on the past seven years since the release of “DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE”.
Producers from the “DRAGON BALL” game series will also come together to try to clear “Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2”! Leading the team is the game’s producer, Daisuke Uchiyama (currently BANDAI NAMCO Studio Inc., President & CEO) followed by the producers from the previous event and a welcome group of young producers! The highly received “Online Arena” powers up for its return, where players create their own avatar to interact with other players and participate in initiatives that will bring fans together from around the world.
Using the avatar you created, you can participate in a multiple choice quiz tournament, watch fashion leaders from the “DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 Super Fashion Show” strut down the runway up-close, and cheer for your favorite team wearing matching team color attires as they challenge themselves in the “DRAGON BALL FighterZ” tournament, “Team & Draft Tournament”.

The event will be steaming a special performance featuring three artists, which can only be seen on this day.
The previous event featured Hironobu Kageyama’s half-time show, “Hironobu Kageyama Special Live”, where fans from around the world raised the voltage by coming together to sing along in the comments section of the event.
The “Special Live” for this event will feature a dream collaboration with the “DRAGON BALL” anime series opening music! This time, in addition to Hironobu Kageyama, U-ya Asaoka and Hiroki Takahashi are going to participate!

Owner and Chef, and the first Japanese Gold Medalist at the 2004 5th World Chinese Cuisine World Championship (Guang Zhou, China) Individual Hot Dishes division, Kinya Komoda, will take stage in “KAKAROT COOKING” to recreate menus that appear in “DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT”!
Balloon art pioneer and the first Asian to win at the globally acclaimed Twist & Shout Balloon Convention held in the US, SHINO, will be depicting characters from “DRAGON BALL” with balloons, and the winner of the Japan Juggling Festival, the talented juggling duo, Synchronicity, will use 3,000 Rubik’s Cube to create the event’s key visual. Character bento (box lunch) artist, Riyu, will also challenge herself in making a “DRAGON BALL” themed bento!

On “DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO”, the upcoming movie in which Akira Toriyama is fully participating, the event will have the special program, “DRAGON BALL SUPER: SUPER HERO” SUPER STAGE! The program will go into the latest information on the movie, along with behind the scene stories, and feature interviews and messages with the voice actors for the movie.
