THQ Nordic has officially announced the development of “Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed,” a modern remake of the 2010 fan-favourite “Disney Epic Mickey.”
This project is a collaboration between Purple Lamp and Disney Games, with the original game’s director, Warren Spector, playing a key role in guiding the remastering process. The game promises to take players on a nostalgic journey with Mickey Mouse, who wields a magical paintbrush to navigate the perilous Wasteland, drawing inspiration from classic Disney narratives.
Scheduled for a 2024 release, “Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed” will be available on various platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The game aims to captivate both long-time fans and new players with its enhanced graphics, new abilities for Mickey, and multiple story outcomes influenced by players’ choices.
Warren Spector expressed his gratitude for the enduring love the original game has received from fans worldwide, emphasizing the timeless appeal of the Disney Epic Mickey series.
Luigi Priore of Disney echoed this sentiment, highlighting the excitement for a new generation to experience the game on contemporary consoles.
