Bungie has released a new gameplay trailer which brings the Guardians in pursuit of the Witness through the heart of the Traveler in Destiny 2: The Final Shape. This all-new expansion introduces new enemies, new modes, new rewards and many more content.
The game brings Guardians into the Traveler to push back the corruption that has infested the once-pure landscape aptly named The Pale Heart. Players will also face a new type of enemy called The Dread that will do the Witness’s bidding. Dual-wielding Husks hone their blades below the fearsome Grim hovering in wait. In the distance, psionic Weavers and Attendants strategize and prepare for your fireteam’s arrival.
Content-wise, The Final Shape will bring in Legendary Mode which players can challenge to get new rewards. Helping the players in this expansion are new powers which for the first time, Prismatic empowers players to combine Arc, Solar, Void, Stasis, and Strand into their subclass of the player’s design. Exotic items make a return with allows players to have up to two Exotic powers and Transcendence which uses the power of Light and Darkness to unlock new abilities and unleash the true powers of Prismatic.
With a new expansion also comes new content which includes a new raid, new exotics like Tessellation Exotic Fusion Rifle, an annual pass and episodes. Players can pre-order the expansion with the annual pass will unlock Tessellation, an Exotic Emote, extra episodes and The Final Shape dungeon keys.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape will be out on 4 June 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam & Epic Games Store.
