Day-to-day use impression so far.
It has only been for a few days but so far, I’ve not experienced anything I don’t like about the phone yet. I’ve been a Samsung Note user for a good few years now and could never imagine switching to a Galaxy S series and lose access to my stylus. But with the Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G’s stylus-ready compatibility, it was an easy switch for me.
The biggest problem for me right now is probably this – though the phone supports a stylus, it does not house one. And since the phone is not yet released in the market, so are the accessories – like a phone case that could house both my phone and stylus. I don’t mind it one bit because this is something that will be solved as soon as the phone and its accessories launch this end of January.
I also thought I’d have a hard time finding the phone’s design appealing, especially with so many camera holes packed together. Yes, I have a mild Trypophobia issue where I cannot stand the sight of multiple holes (or what looked like holes) so intimately close to one another. But as it turns out, it never really bothered me.
The most impressive single piece of upgrade I can see so far is definitely the camera department, which I will talk about more in my upcoming in-depth review of the phone (just as soon as I have explored and played around with it some more).
The phone’s ability to run games is another thing that will receive detailed attention in the review though so far, it has been running whatever I’ve been throwing at it with ease. The phone’s 5000mAh battery life definitely played a role in providing long hours of entertainment marathon without needing me to be worried about charging. Speaking about charging, if you didn’t know this already – the S21 comes with a type-c data cable but not a power adapter, hence halving the size of the box it comes in.
There is still much to be said and talked about on the Samsung S21 Ultra 5G. This is, after all, the latest and most powerful flagship phone from Samsung that we’ve seen, but more shall be discussed in the review! (that should come out in the next few days!)
