Attention, Pokémon TCG fans! Get ready for an exciting expansion to the world-renowned Pokémon Trading Card Game. The Pokémon Company International just announced that the upcoming “Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces” expansion is set to hit stores globally on March 22, 2024.
Bringing back a fan-favourite feature from the Black & White Series, this expansion sees the return of the powerful ACE SPEC cards. These cards, known for their potent effects, are getting a fresh new look with a striking magenta design. However, remember, each deck can only contain one of these mighty ACE SPEC cards, which can be either Trainer or Special Energy cards.
The “Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces” expansion will introduce new Pokémon, including Walking Wake and Iron Leaves, first seen in the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet video games. Additionally, this expansion will feature new Ancient and Future Pokémon and Trainer cards, along with more type-shifted Tera Pokémon ex.

For those in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., preorders are already open at the Pokémon Center, including the exclusive “Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box,” which boasts two additional booster packs and an extra illustration rare-style promo card featuring the Pokémon Center logo.
Excitingly, before the physical cards hit the shelves, trainers can start playing with the “Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces” digitally via the Pokémon TCG Live app. This app is available for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows devices starting March 21, 2024. Digital players can expect to collect new ACE SPEC cards and receive in-game bonuses upon logging in.
