Yup, as many of you have called and guessed it, Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake did remarkably well in sales and the company have just confirmed it in an announcement.
According to the company’s latest announcement, Final Fantasy VII Remake has shipped over 5 million copies worldwide (both digital and physical) since its release. This, however, is not the only milestone the title has achieved.
Square Enix have confirmed that the title also did exceptionally well in sales for its digital version. In fact, it performed so well that it set a new record as the highest-selling digital title on the PlayStation platform in Square Enix’s history.
This news shouldn’t come as a surprise to many considering the game did earn a multitude of applause and glowing praises from both players and critics. However, the FF7 fans collective can only hope that the money earned from the game’s excellent sales is properly invested into making a sequel that is on par, if not better.
If you have not tried the game yet and would like to do so now, there’s a sales offering up to 34% discount for Final Fantasy 7 Remake right now on the PlayStation Store. The offer is available until August 19, 2020. Here’s a link to the game’s demo if you want to try it out.
