Titled Mythical Island, this booster pack for Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to launch on December 17, 2024, adding over 80 new cards to the popular iOS and Android game. The expansion introduces a selection of powerful Pokémon ex cards and Trainer cards, making it a significant addition for players and collectors alike.
Highlighting the set are the legendary Pokémon Mew and Celebi, featured as formidable Pokémon ex cards. According to the expansion’s description, players can “experience wonder and whimsy with a new expansion’s worth of cards coming to the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket.” The Mythical Island expansion promises five new Pokémon ex cards, five Trainer cards, and beautifully designed immersive cards that transport players into the enchanting world of Pokémon.
In addition to Mew ex and Celebi ex, the booster pack will include cards for Aerodactyl ex, Tauros, Magmar, Exeggcute, Morelull, Larvesta, Snivy, Dhelmise, Dedenne, Vaporeon, Marshadow, and others. The set will also feature themed binder and display board covers, showcasing the stunning scenery of the Mythical Island.
Interestingly, rumors suggest that Mythical Island may not be a full-fledged expansion but rather a mini set. While The Pokémon Company has not confirmed this speculation, the smaller card count and focus on a select group of Pokémon ex cards could point to a more compact release.
