Folklore Games announced their narrative-adventure game, Spiral, will arrive on STEAM and EPIC for a PC Release + XBOX for console, as a self-published title.
Taking players on an emotional journey, this is a story that offers a unique perspective on cognitive degeneration, told by the individual experiencing it.
About the Game
Spiral puts players in the shoes of Bernard Penfield, an introverted writer who is coming to the end of his journey but invites you to go back to the beginning and help him re-experience his memories one last time.
Exploring the memories of Bernard at different phases in his life, players will also meet a cast of diverse characters in his family and friends who guide him through life’s biggest moments.
While the cognitive degeneration will gradually become more present within the story, (impacting the environment, dialogue, and music,) exploring his memories thoroughly may help Bernard to hold onto details longer and share things that might otherwise be lost forever.
Releasing on STEAM at 23.99$ USD, Spiral will be available for purchase at 10 AM EST on September 20th, 2024. In the meantime, gamers can also pick up the free demo and add it to their wishlist.
Following its PC and Xbox Release, the game will also be available for purchase on PS5 and SWITCH at a later date.
