Skybound Games in partnership with developer Red Hook Studios revealed details of a Darkest Dungeon II physical edition for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, or Nintendo Switch, all of which will be available on October 22nd, 2024.

Pre-orders are now open at select global retailers. To celebrate the news, Red Hook Studios has just released a brand new Accolades Trailer featuring the physical editions here.

This October, Darkest Dungeon II will be available in physical form for the first time ever, which will include the following for $39.99 / 39,99 € / £34.99 / 179.00 zł :

    • Nintendo Switch game cartridge, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X disc

    • Intricate build-your-own stagecoach model

    • Redemption code for the haunting Darkest Dungeon II soundtrack

Darkest Dungeon II is a rogue-lite turn-based road trip of the damned. Form a party, equip your stagecoach, and set off across the decaying landscape on a last gasp quest to avert an apocalypse caused by your own failures. The greatest dangers you face, however, may come from within the group.

The sequel to the critically acclaimed Darkest Dungeon features all new 3D visuals in the distinctive style, a new run-based road trip structure, an enhanced version of the innovative turn-based combat system, fourteen playable heroes, five regions, five end bosses, and a metagame hub (“The Altar of Hope”) with extensive persistent upgrades. Darkest Dungeon II first released into Early Access on the Epic Games Store in October 2021 and has seen a regular cadence of major content and feature updates since Red Hook improved the game with the aid of customer feedback.

The first DLC, The Binding Blade, was released on December 11th, 2023.
