realme Malaysia has brought back its GT series smartphones to Malaysia. Even more special is that Malaysia is the first country in the world to launch the global version of the realme GT 7 Pro smartphone, in an event held in KL on the 18th Nov 2024 evening
Another world’s first milestone is that the realme GT 7 Pro is the very first smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset launched globally. Snapdragon 8 Elite is the latest flagship CPU from Qualcomm, built with the 3nm process. Snapdragon claims that the SD8E is 45% faster single-core and multi-core performance compared to last year’s SD8G3, while offering better energy efficiency.
realme GT 7 Pro’s official price is revealed to be at RM3,699 with a single memory configuration of 12+512GB. There are 2 color options for our Malaysian market, the Galaxy Grey and the Mars Orange, which is the color most seen in realme marketing materials. At the rear is a rectangle camera bump with three cameras, a 50MP OIS main camera, a 50MP OIS 3x optical telephoto zoom and an 8MP ultrawide. Selfie duties are handled by a 16MP camera in the front.
realme GT 7 Pro packs a whopping 6500mAh silicon anode battery, which realme claims to the the biggest battery packed into a smartphone. Equally impressive is that realme GT 7 Pro is also packed with blazing fast 120W charging, which realme claims to take only 14 minutes to charge to 50%.
As for screen tech, realme GT 7 Pro uses a 6.78-inch Samsung Eco2 LTPO OLED with a 120Hz refresh and Dolby Vision support. Fingerprint unlock now uses the superior ultrasonic sensor, which works even underwater. The ultrasonic fingerprint sensor doubles as the camera shutter for yet another world’s first smartphone feature, Underwater Photography mode.
For gamers, realme GT 7 Pro offers AI gaming features such as Super Resolution which ups the resolution to 1.5K (1440p) and Super Frames which ups the framerates to 120fps. Both these features are part of the AI suite of enhancements found in the realme GT 7 Pro, namely AI Efficiency, AI Imaging and the aforementioned AI Gaming.
