Game Assistant: The Tool For Every Gamer aims to solve a problem of convenience that may have plagued PC gamers for years. This tool automates games tweaking so players will not have to worry about modifying and screwing up a game’s config files which let’s admit is something that should have existed for a while now.
What you can do with this tool is you can disable startup videos, set modern resolutions, enable/disable VSync, override the FOV, increase visual quality, disable effects, fix crashes or poor performance and so on! Depending on the game the list of other options available to players with this tool is listed on their Steam page. What’s great is that the creators have described it as a simple to use yet powerful tool to really help players set what they need without too much of a hassle.
In case players are afraid of some of the automated changes they perform using the tool might not give the desired results they are expecting, all changes are fully reversible as well. In addition to that, the tool also allows players to install, launch, kill game processes, open the config file for manual editing (if they really want to), locate save games, etc. It’s also important to note that this is NOT a hacking tool. The games themselves must have support for the features to be enabled that are not freely available in the game options.
Take note though that multiple Steam accounts are only available with the purchase of the Special Edition.
There are almost (or about) 200 games currently supported by this tool (including classics such as the Call of Duty series, Bioshock series and even Alan Wake!) and the developers themselves encourage players to check the forums for the full list of supported tweaks for the games.
One thing that I do want to highlight is that this tool is a product of a two-man team (of course with help from a few other talented individuals for testing) with the idea coming back in 2017 but it only started blooming in 2018. These two individuals are from Poland and have self-funded and are self-publishing this tool.
They have also shared that detailed HTML documentation is available on how to create a config for games and they are hoping that the gaming community really comes together around this great idea to help and contribute to make this tool an essential part of every gamer’s experience. It really is easy and does not require any programming skills at all.
Game Assistant: The Tool For Every Gamer comes out on March 2nd and is priced at USD9.99 or roughly MYR42.00 on Steam. Do check it out and if you find it as promising as I do, support the hard work these developers have done and help it grow.
