Narrative Deduction Game Lil’ Guardsman Reveals New Gameplay Trailer At Guerrilla Collective Showcase

Independent game studio Hilltop Studios and Versus Evil, one of the leading independent video game publishers, have released an all-new trailer for their upcoming narrative-driven deduction adventure game Lil’ Guardsman during the Guerrilla Collective showcase. Take a gander at it to get a sense of the sorts of security-related shenanigans you’ll get up to ahead of Lil’ Guardsman’s launch on PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox Series consoles later this year

Lil’ Guardsman puts players in the role of a young girl who finds herself covering for her dad, the head castle guardsman. As she interrogates an array of strange, quirky characters trying to gain entry to their city walls, you must discover each visitor’s true intentions through cunning dialogue and clever use of her toolbox of investigative items. Lil must make tough decisions as she decides who to allow into her citadel home and consequences can be severe, so you’ll have to make astute use of your abilities to uncover mass conspiracies and protect your stronghold and family from devious interlopers.

To commemorate this reveal, Verses Evil has released a playable demo on Steam. This demo lets players come to grips with Lil’s investigatory plight, as you’ll become intimately familiar with the gadgets and gizmos she has at her disposal. Use your cypher-cracking Decoder Ring, douse travelers in Truth Spray, or threaten them with your trusty Bullwhip! Guardsmen aren’t generally encouraged to whip people willy-nilly, but sometimes it’s the best tool for the job!
