    Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom – shape-shifting into gold

    Seen as a spiritual successor to the Wonderboy series, developer Game Atelier and Publisher FDG Entertainment has finally announced Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom with this new trailer;

    It’s a colourful, vibrant hand-drawn platformer

    Working alongside series creator, Ryuichi Nishizawa, the classic platformer is delivering a modern take with refreshing gameplay, memorable music, and colourful animations. Play as the young hero Jin to fight enemies, discover hidden locations, and get powerful gears. Jin is able to transform into special forms to bypass unique paths where you may uncover secret treasure and bosses.

    Here are a few features mentioned:

    • 6 different forms to transform to for unique combat prowess or platforming abilities
    • Unlock new paths with special equipment’s
    • 15 hours of Gameplay
    • Hand drawn animations detailed, colourful and fun
    • Soundtrack from iconic composers such as Yuzo Koshiro, Motoi Sakuraba, Michiru Yamane, Keiki Kobayashi and Takeshi Yanagawa.

    The game will be launched for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch on December 4, 2018. Followed by PC on 1st quarter 2019. Both Ps4 and Switch will be released digitally and physically, while Xbox One and PC is digital download only.
