Kingdom Rush: Rift in Time – board game inspired by a mobile hit is now live on Kickstarter

The crowdfunding campaign for a Kingdom Rush: Rift in Time board game goes live today, April 9th 2019. Thanks to overwhelming fan support, the project was funded in less than an hour! It’s an adaptation of a mobile hit developed by Ironhide studio, which has gathered millions of fans around the world. The analogue version of the game is being developed by Lucky Duck Games, a successful board game publisher responsible for many other video game adaptation to board, card or figurine games.

Kingdom Rush: Rift in Time is a fully fledged tower defense game but played on your table! The players’ main task is to defend the kingdom from the wrath of the Time Mage charging in with his ferocious minions. Fortify the defenses and send out troops to battle the constantly emerging waves of monsters and opposing troops. But beware, every new encounter means more and more vicious and experienced attackers are coming to take over the kingdom. That’s why the cooperation between players is essential for succeeding in Kingdom Rush: Rift in Time. The game was developed for one to four players co-op in mind and offers many hours of gameplay time with 10 scenarios created by the game’s authors.

A large amount of Stretch Goals are planned which will unlock, with the help of backers, new characters, boss figurines, tower cards, tokens, modular boards and more. Lucky Duck Games already has a lot of experience in creating successful board games related crowdfunding campaigns. Those include Mutants, Jetpack Joyride or Chronicles of Crime. The latter project was backed by more than 9000 backers who altogether pledged 795 thousand dollars.
