    Galaxy Unpacked 2022 Unveiled New Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4, Galaxy Watch5, And Buds 2 Pro

It seemed like it wasn’t so long ago that we were busy and happily talking about Samsung’s Fold and Flip series phones in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3, plus the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Watch 4 line-up, and yet here we are, one year later (time flies) and ready to talk about yet another exciting line-up of new Galaxy products from the latest Galaxy Unpacked event.

Introducing, the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, the new Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and the Galaxy Watch5 series. Let’s start with the smallest item and work our way up in size.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro

The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is the successor to the renowned Galaxy Buds Pro. Known for its IPX7 resilience, all-weather usage, good ANC, and sound quality, the Buds Pro was designed for the power users among us.

With the arrival of the Buds 2 Pro now, we’re happy to see that the glossy exterior of the old Buds Pro has been replaced with a cleaner and classier-looking matte surface in the Buds 2 pro. One of my beef with the Buds Pro was how easily it can look dirty with all the fingerprints from the tapping. A matte surface material will eliminate this problem altogether.

In terms of specs and built, this is what the Buds 2 Pro is made of.

    Dimension Earbud – 19.9 x 21.6 x 18.7mm, 5.5g
    Case – 50.1 x 50.2 x 27.7mm, 43.4g
Speaker Custom Coaxial 2-way (Tweeter + Woofer) Speaker
    Sound Quality 24bit Hi-Fi*

    ANC & Ambient

    ANC*+High SNR Microphone (2 outer + 1 inner)**
    Ambient Sound
    Voice Detect***
**With 3 high SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) microphones, Galaxy Buds2 Pro can eliminate small noises by capturing lower-level sounds
***Galaxy Buds2 Pro can distinguish between noise and human voices. When you speak, it switches temporarily to Ambient mode and reduces media volume so that you can hear conversations without taking out your earbuds.
    Battery Earbuds: 61mAh (typical)
    Charging Case: 515mAh (typical)
Play Time Up to 3.5 hours / Total up to 14h (ANC on)

Colour-wise, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro comes in three choices – the Bora Purple, Graphite, and White. All three of them look fashionable depending on your style of wear and occasion.

    The Samsung Galaxy Watch5

Many people will have their eyes on this one since the Galaxy Watch4 was such a huge hit despite complaints about its battery life that could be better. But the good news this year is the new Galaxy Watch5 comes with a battery 60% larger than the Galaxy Watch 4.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4

The Flipping phone is back for another year (of course it is!). The Z Flip 3 turned heads last year with its flipping spectacle when it came out. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

In last year’s announcement, Samsung said that the future will be one where Foldable phone usage will be popular. With the announcement of the Z Fold 4, it seems like the South Korean tech conglomerate’s confidence in the statement made last year is still high and this is unsurprising, considering the Z Fold 3 sold out before even exiting the Pre-Order stage in a matter of days in Malaysia.

No doubt, the Z Fold 4 will capitalise on its predecessor’s success and seek to impress again this year. In terms of design, the Z Fold 4 looked identical to its older brother with 3 cameras at the back and an anti-glare finish at the back.

Regular Google apps users like Chrome and Gmail will also find some celebration-worthy elements in this phone as the Z Fold 4 now supports drag-and-drop elements, allowing users to easily and conveniently copy and paste links, photos, and more between one app to another.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 will also be the first device to ship with an Android 12L onboard. The Android 12L is a special version of Android that Google designed for large-screen experiences, including foldable devices like the Z Fold 4.

In the specs and hardware department, we have the following table to peruse.

    Dimension – Folded 67.1 x 155.1 x 15.8mm (Hinge) – 14.2mm (Sagging)
