The flagship international tournament of 2020, Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS) has recently been announced by Garena. The fully-virtual series will comprise three regional tournaments held simultaneously across the Americas; Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia. Each tournament will see teams battling it out for the US$300,000 prize pool – all within the comfort of their own homes. Players can look forward to exclusive in-game events leading up to FFCS.
The FFCS will comprise three regional tournaments that will be held simultaneously. These will be the Free Fire Americas Series, comprising the Brazil and LATAM servers; the Free Fire Asia Series, which will include Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other markets in the region; and the Free Fire EMEA Series, consisting of Europe, Russia, and the Middle East, and North Africa (MENA).
Each regional tournament will commence from 21 November and will culminate in a Grand Final on 28 or 29 November, and will bring together each region’s top teams to compete for a US$300,000 prize pool and the title of being the world’s best Free Fire team. All three regional tournaments will follow the same format. Teams will battle over 6 rounds, across 3 maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari, with points awarded based on round ranking and the number of kills.
