HoYoverse has announced the launch of Version 4.6 of Genshin Impact, titled “Two Worlds Aflame, the Crimson Night Fades,” set to debut on April 24, 2024. This new update introduces significant additions to the game, including a new character, Arlecchino, and a mysterious underwater empire for players to explore.
Arlecchino, known as the “Knave” and the fourth of the Fatui Harbingers, emerges as a unique character in Teyvat’s ongoing saga. Players can recruit Arlecchino as a 5-star Pyro polearm wielder who doubles as a new Weekly Boss. Her combat abilities are centered around a “Bond of Life” mechanic, which prevents healing but enhances her attack power when the Bond is sufficiently filled. This ability makes her a formidable ally and adversary, bringing new dynamics to gameplay.
In addition to Arlecchino’s debut, Version 4.6 opens up a vast new area set deep in the Sea of Bygone Eras, featuring the remnants of Remuria, a sunken empire with a rich history predating the Court of Fontaine. Players will engage with ancient mechanisms and confront the new Boss Enemy, “Legatus Golem,” enhancing the adventurous aspect of the game.
The update also includes a music festival on Inazuma’s Watatsumi Island, where players can participate in the “Iridescent Arataki Rockin’ for Life Tour de Force of Awesomeness.” This event introduces a new rhythm game feature, allowing players to create, share, and challenge friends in custom rhythm games. Rewards for participating include the new “Nightwind Horn” instrument.
Version 4.6 promises a blend of storytelling, exploration, and interactive entertainment, making it a significant update for both new and veteran players. The update will be available across PlayStation®, PC, Android, and iOS platforms, ensuring a seamless experience with cross-progression and co-op functionalities.
