Garena’s Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023 is heating up, with 12 teams left in the running for a chance at the ultimate championship title this weekend.
Teams hailing from Thailand once again proved themselves as frontrunners this year, with all three country representatives coming in top three. EXP Esports performed exceptionally well, coming in first with 413 points. Buriram United Esports and CGGG both scored 376 points, with the former placing second place with 3 more Booyahs.
Malaysia’s sole representative, Expand, was the underdog to watch — securing the 10th slot with a respectable 206 points. Members of Expand will now have to give it their all in the next stages to bring glory to their country and prove that they are not to be trifled with.
The Point Rush Stage will kick off this weekend from 24 until 25 November, featuring a total of 12 games. While no teams will be eliminated in this stage, their performance can earn them a crucial head start of up to sixteen points in the Grand Finals. 6 Grand Finals matches will take place on 26 November, where the best team will own the glory and emerge as the champion of FFWS 2023.
Fans in Malaysia can take part in the TikTok UGC Contest and attend the offline Grand Finals Watch Party to redeem limited edition prizes. Garena’s Free Fire is a free-to-play battle royale which is available on mobile devices.
