    Free Update In Collaboration With The Manga Version Of “Ace Angler”, Written By The Author Of “Dorabase”, Available Now

    Bandai Namco Entertainment is proud to announce the new update for the Nintendo Switch title, Ace Angler: Fishing Spirits. The update is a collaboration between the game and the manga version of “Ace Angler”, published in the monthly CoroCoro Comic! In addition, we are delighted to release new illustrations and manga by the author of the manga version of “Ace Angler”, Mr. Shintaro Mugiwara, to celebrate the collaboration.

    The new update includes the manga version of “Ace Angler”, which can be read in-game using medals, special missions in “Ace Angler+”, and other contents related to the manga version of “Ace Angler”, currently serialized in CoroCoro Comic. This special collaboration is designed to be enjoyed by both fans of the manga and those who have not yet had the chance to read it, so please take this opportunity to update your game and enjoy this new content.

    What is the manga version of Ace Angler?

    “Ace Angler”, a popular arcade and home console game title, has now been reimagined as a manga in CoroCoro Comic! The main character, Kai Tatsumiya, and his fishing battles with giant fish, illustrated by master cartoonist Shintaro Mugiwara, are a must-see! The manga is currently serialized in the monthly CoroCoro Comic, where you can enjoy the author’s realistic drawings and learn all about fish ecology.

    The first and second parts of the “Ace Angler” manga, previously published in monthly CoroCoro Comic, can be unlocked and read in-game using Medals. Find out what kind of big fish the main characters of the manga version of “Ace Angler”, Kai Tatsumiya and Pukutaro, will catch.


    *The manga which will be available to read in-game is identical to the first and second parts published in the November 2022 and December 2022 issues of Monthly CoroCoro Comic.


    Kai Tatsumiya appears in Marine Medal Mania to trigger special missions!

    The avatar of Kai Tatsumiya will appear in Marine Medal Mania following the update. If you successfully catch Pukutaro in “Ace Angler +”, you will be able to acquire special limited-edition Kai Tatsumiya clothing. The items you receive will change depending on the number of successful catches, so aim to catch him as often as possible.

    What is Ace Angler?

    Ace Angler is a Japanese arcade fishing game sensation. Players use their rod controllers to catch the fish swimming past the giant monitor in front of them. Reel in sea creatures from clownfish and boxfish to sharks and giant squids! Earn medals for each catch, spend medals to choose better rods, and get even more medals when you land the big ones!
