Diablo IV Limited-Timed Event Midwinter Blight Is Now Live

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Diablo IV‘s first limited-timed event, Midwinter Blight has started which will consume the Fractured Peaks with perpetual darkness and bitter cold.

From now to 3 January 2 am (UTC+8), team up with a hopeful bard who brings warning of an awakened “Red-Cloaked Horror” and its Blightfiend underlings looking to prey on the most disheartened souls. In this event, players can take on new event quests, upgrade the event hub, challenge a new boss, and earn rewards including new cosmetic items.

Build Up the Festive Spirit in Midwinter Square

Even in Sanctuary, festivities require a proper venue, and Gileon has set you off on the right path. There’s just one problem—the Midwinter Square begins without decorations. It will be up to you to reinvigorate the square with that special holiday essence (and warmth) by upgrading it to its full potential. This can be done by trudging into the Fractured Peaks and eviscerating pale blue Blightfiends for their Blighted Fragments, destroying gory jumbles of human viscera known as Frigid Husks to recover Lost Heirlooms, and putting an end to the Blightfiends’ own gruesome celebration—the Blighted Revelry.

A Most Grizzly Commemoration—the Blighted Revelry

This local event is not for the faint of heart or stomach. The Blightfiends have taken time to revel in their own handiwork by erecting totems to honour their ruthless savagery. Punish the Blightfiends for defiling the Fractured Peaks residents and you might come face-to-face with their sadistic overlord, the Red-Cloaked Horror.

    Celebrate With Frost-Weathered Trinkets

Once you’ve culled the snow-born terrors of the Fractured Peaks and acquired enough Blighted Fragments, Lost Heirlooms, and other Midwinter Blight resources, visit the Collections Table back at the Midwinter Square to trade them for Midwinter Proofs. These icy tokens of valor can be traded for a variety of rewards, such as: a Mount Trophy, Class-specific Back Trophies, Weapon Cosmetics, the Shard of Dawn Offensive Legendary Aspect, Gileon’s Brew (this stuff is potent and delicious), and more.

Diablo IV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
