Nintendo and Platinum Games have announced their new Sci-Fi action game called Astral Chain. The art direction of this game will be superbly handled by the game designer from NieR: Automata, Takahisa Taura, creator of the Bayonetta™ series, Hideki Kamiya and manga artist Masakazu Katsura (creator of Zetman).
You play as police task force against unknown creatures
Choose between a male or female character as you are tasked as a special police force Neuron resisting the unknown creatures spawned from a gate in another dimension. Using a special weapon referred “The Legion” acting as your partner for battling and assisting in investigations. Think of it as a Sci-Fi hybrid between a game Xenosaga and anime Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure which is an exciting mix.
Furthermore, there seems to be an intangible blue chain used by the main characters which have multiple uses such as linking/controlling their Legion in combat, capturing foes inside and outside combat.
This game is made exclusive for Nintendo Switch due on August 30, 2019.
