Malaysian Esports Championship 2020 sees increase in participants

The Esports Integrated (ESI) initiative from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KSB) receives an astounding number of participants on the launch of the Malaysian Esports Championship 2020 (MEC 2020).

The registration has currently hit a total number of 7,424 participants across the different categories. This is a testament to ESI’s ongoing efforts to drive growth and diversity in the local esports community.

ESI strives to strengthen its efforts for 2021 with proper developmental planning to increase awareness for esports in Malaysia. This ensures the sustainability of the industry and also in hopes of establishing and cultivating the esports industry here in Malaysia. This will ensure that the esports industry will open doors to a multitude of opportunities for youths.
