Outer Worlds writer announces launch of narrative adventure Henchman Story

Developer Silken Sail is absolutely thrilled to announced that their much anticipated, upcoming interactive supervillain adventure Henchman Story will be coming to PC and – with the support of publisher Top Hat StudiosSwitch, PS4, PS5 and Xbox on October 14th, 2021. Players can play a free, updated demo of the game over on its Steam page.

Written by Marc Soskin, formerly part of the award-winning Outer Worlds narrative team, Henchman Story is a narrative adventure that follows the bumbling footsteps of Stan, an unlucky henchman to the boisterous, bottom-feeding supervillain Lord Bedlam. As Stan tries to keep his head down (and attached to the rest of his body), he’ll soon realise that his decisions as a lowly punching bag may determine more than just the fate of his student loans.

Henchman Story is both a love letter and a playful twist on the ever-growing superhero genre. The adventure is fully voice acted, with talent from A Hat in Time, My Hero Academia and Marvel Avengers Academy bringing life to a lively cast of characters. With eleven different endings, and a whole mess of relationships and choices in-between, players looking for a successful career as a valued flunkey better watch their words, as they can change an ally to a nemesis, a partner to a stranger – or a friend to a traitor.

Being a henchman is a tiring, thankless job. The spandex chafes, there are tons of late nights, and your boss rarely remembers your name. But, as Stan is soon to find out, sometimes even the decisions of the lowliest henchman can make a big impact.
